Givers Give and Takers Take and Asking never hurts

Life, Health  and $$ Update I have been very busy procrastinating on this update.  Actually, I have been very busy with LIFE and procrastinating and figuring out how to pay bills.  Apparently, cleaning up my mess of a life, taking care of myself/my health, and my children is more than a full-time job because I can barely keep up with that. In addition, I have started multiple money making plans because I have never been a proud person but I am a very independent person.  I also HATE asking for things.  I have spent my WHOLE life working hard so that I am dependent on NO one and having a career so that I can pay my bills with minimal worry. I started working for my aunt Miriam and uncle Larry assembling elk calls with a Special work permit I had to apply for at the age of 13 yrs (legal age to work in Oregon is 14 year old) because if I wanted something, I had to buy it myself. You should have seen my little high school heart sink when my Dad said, I nee...

Giving Thanks To ME

Today I am celebrating ME! I am spending Thanksgiving Day all by myself.  I am so thankful to have this time to MYself.  I know that this quiet space in my life without the noise of other people’s needs and desires is what I need right now and I am so thankful to have it.  I am listening to ME today. Maybe this sounds selfish and ego centered but I spend most of my life giving to others because *I* enjoy it because it make ME feel good.  I can’t keep giving to others if I don’t take care of and think about ME.  Being a Healer right now means Healing myself, taking time for ME and listening to my inituition.  I could blame so many people, systems, situations, life transitions and I could Blame ME.  I AM a Healer and giving thanks to ME is what I need to heal, grow, and thrive. I am thankful to have the time and space to think about ME, MY direction, MY Goals, MY strengths and MY weaknesses. I am thankful to take this space and time to plan and think a...

Forgiveness and Healing

I read an a super cool article a Facebook friend posted about forgiveness recently.  Forgiveness in much larger sense than my own but the resultant healing is the same.  I read it processed it but still the anger would surface.  I asked myself again.  Do I really forgive these people if I am still this angry?  Can I really forgive these people?  I'd forgotten the words and feelings in the article.  I needed to process these feelings for myself and will likely continue to need to come to this space of forgiveness for myself and for my children so that I can continue to be happy and healthy in *my* head and my heart.  Forgiveness in a really big way.  So what does Forgiveness look like and mean to me?  How do I forgive huge wrongs done against me by people who may or may not ever understand the pain and hurt that they caused? It doesn't mean I will forget, that I will ever be a friend to those people, that what that those people did was ok...
